I don’t know if I can fully articulate it, but there’s definitely been a massive shift. Everything opened up for me suddenly. It’s like I went through a “doorway,” and now I have much more capacity to hold space, and to have patience and compassion. When my son gets easily frustrated or when he's having a difficult time, I have a better understanding of the bigger picture and what’ beneath the surface, and now I can create more balance in our lives.

I’ve learned to separate behaviours, and to see that my child is looking for more connection with me. Trying to separate my feelings about the behaviour and see what he’s really needing – that’s been a shift for me.

~Melina O., Neurodivergent Parenting 101 Alumni

Before this course, we had made, what felt like, radical decisions to just follow our child's lead and forgo putting them into every therapy and activity because we were supposed to. We felt like we were on the right track by making this decision but everything around us in society was telling us differently. This course reassured us that we were making the best choices for our child by trusting our intuition and to continue trusting ourselves. I learned so much about different parenting styles as well as struggles that other parents experience. It was nice to know that I am not alone.
